Terra cloud environment stuck in deleting - unable to create a new cloud environment
Hi,
I tried to delete a cloud environment and then create a new one, and I received the following error:
When I looked at my cloud environments page, the cloud environments for this workspace seem to be stuck in the "deleting" mode after waiting 30+ minutes. This seems limited to the "dataproc" type environments. I was able to create and delete a GCE type environment in this workspace with no problems.

Also, I'm not sure if while these are stuck in "deleting" if I'm being charged? The configuration leads to a very costly environment.
Hi Sabrina,
Thanks for writing in with this! A member of the Terra support team will follow up with you as soon as they are able.
Kind regards,
Pamela
The VMs have now been deleted, so the issue is resolved.
Hi Sabrina,
Thanks again for writing in! I took a look at GCP and it appears that there are no Cloud Environments for that Google Project ID. Are the Cloud Environments still displaying for you on the Cloud Environments page? If they are, please let me know and I'll have our engineering teams take a look.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Josh
Hi Sabrina,
That's great news! Sometimes the Terra interface can lag behind reporting on the activity that is actually taking place in GCP. Once a VM has been deleted by GCP, the system should stop changing you for that resource as GCP is what controls billing.
Please let me know if that information was helpful, or if you have any questions.
Best,
Josh
