Alternative to archiving workflow metadata

I've now been running WDLs in Terra long enough that some older workflow details have been archived.  In my experience, it is very common to need to go back past a year to look for details of old workflow runs.  It is quite common for a full project to span over a year start to finish.  Then when you're writing up a methods section of a paper, the awesome thing about Terra was that I could look back and see exactly what I did!  But now I have to submit a request that may take 5 business days.

Terra support is great, and so I'm sure it's not a big hassle.  But still, I'd really prefer if I could just browse through my old workflow details on my own.  A several-day latency for each workflow can add up to a lot of extra work for me and for Terra support.

My suggestion:

What if the workflow metadata was archived and indexed in the workspace google bucket rather than in a central Terra repository?  Terra can keep backups that are always archived and never indexed.  Could that work?
