Error initiating cloud environment

I get this error when trying to start a cloud environment from a Jupyter notebook in Terra, even though I am not running anything. Is this a known error?

An error occurred

    Hi Diane,

Thanks for writing in! I have a few follow up questions: what were the configurations of the Cloud Environment you were trying to create? Could you please provide a screen shot?

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Best,

    Josh

I got the same error message when I chose the Hail environment. It didn't allow me to click the create button, but showed the error message right after I clicked on the line
    "Hail:(Python: 3.7.12, Spark 2.4.5, hail 0.2.74)"

It seems that the Hail environment is the only one with error since I could create an environment with other configuration without any problem

    Hi Diane and Seunghun,

As it turns out, there was an issue that affected the creation of Hail environments.  However, it appears our engineering teams have resolved it.  Could both of you try to re-create your environments and let me know if your issue has been resolved?

    Best,

    Josh

    Hi Josh,

I just tried creating a Hail environment and it worked fine without the previous error.
Thank you for promptly addressing the issue

    Best,

    Seunghun

I am having this problem as well: environment creation is timing out after 30 min. when attempting to deploy the Hail configuration. This is true whether I specify a single node or a cluster.

A colleague has been having the same issue today.

    Hey Mbrauer,

Thanks for writing in about this issue. Another user on the platform recently ran into this problem and it appears they were able to fix a similar issue with their Hail environment by increasing their disk size. Would you be willing to give this a try and let us know if you are able to successfully create a Hail Cloud Environment?

    Kind regards,

    Jason

    Hey Mbrauer,

We haven't heard from you in a while! Did increasing the disk size help you successfully start up a Hail cloud environment?

    Kind regards,

    Jason
