Re-ordered lists after data table schema upgrade

PROBLEM

A recent upgrade to our data table schema unintentionally changed the order of items in some list-type cells. Any workflows that depend on a specific list order may fail or produce incorrect results.

REMEDIATION

We are currently identifying all workspaces that may be affected and will notify workspace owners directly. We are also evaluating automated solutions so users will not need to fix these issues manually.

RECOMMENDATION / WORKAROUND

If your analyses rely on ordered lists, we recommend verifying the list order before running them. If you need to perform your analyses urgently, you can manually correct the order using the data table editor or by downloading, editing, and re-uploading the affected TSV files.

We have developed a solution to restore the original data table order for affected workspaces. Depending on your workspace activity since the upgrade, the process is as follows:

    • Unmodified Workspaces: If you have not modified your workspace or run any workflows since the upgrade, we will automatically restore your original order. These fixes are expected to begin the week of January 12, 2026.

    • Modified Workspaces: If you have modified your workspace or run a workflow, we will not make changes without your input. We are contacting all owners in this category via email to confirm next steps; you can expect to hear from us by January 14, 2026.
