Jobs not showing up in Job Manager Completed

I recently submitted a large number of workflows in terra and when I clicked to see more it took me to an empty Job Manager page. Perhaps it just takes time to populate? I was surprised because 45 workflows had already failed, but when I filtered in Job Manager by "Failed" there was nothing there.

A fix is planned for this by May 1st.

Ah, it looks like the error was that an input from the data table was missing. Maybe it's failing in such a way that JobManager won't populate it? In Firecloud the error for each workflow is "Expected single value for workflow input, but evaluated result set was empty"

Hey Megan -- this is very much a gap. Since those workflows failed before they could be sent to Cromwell, the Job Manager UI doesn't know anything about them, and thus they become orphaned from the UI entirely. Working for a way to address this, will update with more information soon.

Hi Megan. We've added a submission details page into the workspace Job History tab. This is very similar to what was in FireCloud. It will show jobs that have not gotten to Cromwell, either because of input errors or because they are waiting in the job queue.

Hey Megan -- have you had a chance to see the new view? Do you consider this issue resolved? Thanks!

Yes, I just logged in to see it, and it looks great! It's definitely clear why some of my workflows have failed. The only thing I just noticed is that if I click the View link on one of the failed workflows it brings me to a page that says:

Job Manager is running but encountered a problem getting data from its workflow server.

Not sure if that's just bad timing on my part or if it's related to the fact that that workflow failed. Happy to include screenshots if I'm not being clear on how I got to that message.

Might help me to get reader access on that workspace -- so I can investigate the root cause.
