Timeout error when saving workflow in Terra Workflow Repository

Users have reported getting the error above when attempting to upload a new WDL or edit an existing WDL on Terra Workflow Repository. We've determined that this error occurs when the WDL has import statements. Our engineers are currently investigating and working on a fix.

If you run into this error, clicking the Upload or Create New Version button a few more times usually ends up working.

Another workaround is to copy/paste the contents of the imported WDLs into your main WDL.
