Error Sharing Workspace

Hi,

I have shared a workspace (https://anvil.terra.bio/#workspaces/t2t-nhgri/t2t-vc-processing) with one of my students (dylantaylor548@gmail.com) and they are able to read from the workspace. However, when I try to give them writer and compute access I get the error:

An error occurred:
{"causes":[{"causes":[],"message":"Only 1 entry per email allowed.","source":"rawls","stackTrace":[],"statusCode":400}],"message":"Only 1 entry per email allowed.","source":"Rawls","stackTrace":[],"statusCode":400}

Can you please take a look at it?

Thank you!

Mike Schatz

    Hi Michael,

What permissions do you have on the workspace? Are you able to send a screenshot of the page where you are attempting to give this user write access and the error you receive?

    Kind regards,

    Pamela

    Hi Michael Schatz,

Okay, thank you for providing this. It looks like the issue is that you are attempting to add dylantaylor548@gmail.com again when they are already added as a reader. Can you please try deleting the newest entry and then just changing Dylan's access from reader to writer by clicking the arrow next to "reader" under their email in the first entry?

    Kind regards,

    Pamela

Thats actually what I tried to do. When I first load the page it lists him as a reader

When I use the dropdown box to make him a writer it lists him twice, once as writer and once as reader

If i try to remove the reader-only entry, both are deleted.

Any ideas of what else I can try?

    Thank you

    Mike

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for trying that and letting me know. I found out that another member of the Terra team actually experienced the same issue yesterday but it is now resolved for them. I'm unsure why this seems to be happening but I am looking into it and will let you know when I have an update.

    Kind regards,

    Pamela

    Hi Michael,

We're trying to investigate this error but are having trouble reproducing it on our end so I'd like to know if you can do some testing for us. For the other users that are listed as readers on the workspace, are you able to successfully add them as writers? Is the other owner of the workspace able to add users as writers? Could you try hard refreshing the page (cmd+shift+R) to clear the cache or access Terra in incognito mode? We're working to get to the bottom of this as quickly as possible!

    Kind regards,

    Pamela

Refreshing the page did not solve it. I have the same problem when I change a different user from reader to writer - it is actually worse and the duplicate entry removes someone that should still be there.

    Thanks!

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for your response! It's still difficult for us to reproduce this to determine why it's occurring. Have you been able to test if the other owner is able to grant writer access or if you can do this in a different workspace? Could you send a screenshot of your developer console when you are receiving the error?

    Kind regards,

    Pamela
