resize VM's filesystem

After resizing the VM persistent disk from the Cloud Environment side tab, I need to resize the file system using a command like resize2fs. However this command does not work. How should I proceed to adjust the size of the VM?

Thank you

    Hi Jorge,

Thanks for writing in. You shouldn't need to manually resize your VM file system after resizing the persistent disk. The /dev/sdb  file system gets automatically resized with PD size changes.

    Hi Samantha,

Thank you for the prompt response! Unfortunately it is not automatically resizing and remains capped at 1TB even though the environment tab shows 2TB. Any thoughts on what the issue could be?

    Thanks,
    Jorge

    Hi Jorge,

Can you please provide the following details so we can take a closer look?

    • Google Project ID for workspace, found on the right side of the workspace dashboard

    • Cluster ID (visit https://app.terra.bio/#clusters, click Details, and see Name field)

    • Screenshot of your cloud environment configuration (gear icon at the top-right of workspace)

    Best,
    Samantha
