where are checkpoint files stored?

Cromwell docs on checkpointing say:

if the task is aborted or otherwise stopped externally, ie through interruption of Cromwell's operation, the checkpoint file will NOT be deleted and storage charges will continue to accrue indefinitely, or until the file is deleted manually.

Where are these checkpoint files stored?

(This is a Cromwell question rather than a Terra question -- please let me know if there is a better place to post it.)

    Hi Ilya Shlyakhter,

     

    Thanks for writing in. The checkpoint files are stored in the task's root execution directory in the cloud. You'll need to navigate to the workflow's execution directory and find the directory for the appropriate call.
