Dockstore vs. Dockerhub
I've seen both docker repositories mentioned across the Terra documentation/tutorials. So far, I've used Dockerhub to store docker images I use in my WDL workflows on Terra. I'm not sure what the pros/cons are for these repositories though (with respect to Terra). Are there specific reasons/scenarios for choosing when to use Dockstore vs. Dockerhub?

Hi Marisa,
Thanks for writing in. When it comes to Dockers, we recommend using Dockerhub or GCR. Most users use Dockerhub.
Dockstore, on the other hand, is used by some for storing workflows that live in and are updated on Github. Many of our featured workflows are found on Dockstore. Here are some examples:
https://dockstore.org/workflows/github.com/broadinstitute/gatk/mutect2:4.1.8.1?tab=info
https://dockstore.org/workflows/github.com/broadinstitute/gatk/cnv_somatic_pair_workflow:4.2.0.0?tab=info
https://dockstore.org/workflows/github.com/broadinstitute/gatk/cnv_germline_cohort_workflow:4.1.6.0?tab=info
I hope this answers your question! If you have any other questions or need further clarification, please let us know.
Kind regards,
Jason
That helps, thanks!
