Updating Hail
Hi-
I'm writing some notebooks for Terra that utilize Hail but noticed that the version currently used is 0.2.11. This seems to be >1 year old with the current version being 0.2.26. There have been many improvements to both speed and functionality since this older release.
I've tried updating Hail from within the notebook -- using pip and restarting the kernel -- but the older version is still loaded. Is there a way to update Hail? I have some notebooks that currently depend on functionality that exists only in the newer versions.
Thanks.

Hi Tim,
We're hoping to have a Hail docker image as one of the available environments on the UI soon, and it will feature the newest Hail. At this time there is no way for users to upgrade their own Hail version because the newest Hail needs a different version of Spark (which is work that is slated in combination with the Hail image).
