Sample Search tool Completed
FireCloud has allowed you to search within a workspace for a sample ID, for example, or a PDO. It's fairly critical to make sure this feature exists in Terra, and ideally there would ALSO be a search tool that searches for samples IDs, for example, across all workspaces, in addition to within a specific workspace.

Thank you for the suggestion! We definitely want critical functionality from FireCloud to be represented in Terra. I'll take a look at what is required and reply back with an expected resolution date.
Regarding cross-workspace search, see the data library for an example data search for ENCODE

These data are hosted in Terra and we are providing faceted search over various attributes. It's a first step exploring options for search in a potential centralized Terra data repository. Free text search for sample IDs would be another useful feature here.

Brad - regarding the cross-workspace search, this looks like a fantastic feature and we'd definitely like the ability to use it to search across workspaces are own workspaces. This would actually help with a lot of status reporting project managers tend to do if there could be some sort of spreadsheet export option of a refined search.
I want to second the need for searching within a workspace (on the Data page). Currently I have to go back to Firecloud if I need to search for a sample, so I would definitely consider this feature critical!
Hi! I just wanted to update you both that within a workspace data table, a filter bar has been added to allow you to search rows (using a sample ID or PDO for example). This now works the same as it does in FireCloud.
Cross workspace search is a longer term issue, that we're definitely thinking through. I'm going to ask Clare Bernard to get in touch regarding planned features for project managers who want to store and deliver data through Terra.
