Please bring back workspace tags, the were so useful in FireCloud for labeling your workspaces and quickly searching for similar workspaces that may not fall under the same naming convention.

We will absolutely bring back workspace tags. I'll check the status on our board and update you here on an expected timeframe. Thanks for your feedback, Brendan. It's so useful.

Thanks, Brad. I know that features are still being ported over but I thought that it may still be useful to post. Cheers!

Hi Brendan! You are now able to filter by tags in the workspace list in Terra. Soon you'll be able to add them in Terra too.

Would the tags feature satisfy this request:

terra-ui/issues/1118: FR: Enable data providers to publish their own Featured workspaces.

My thinking is that if tags are visible on workspaces that I share, then as a data provider I could share and tag my workspaces in some consistent way.

It isn't quite the same as having a Featured Workspace, but perhaps close enough.

    Matt,

I can't see that Github issue that you linked to. I'm not sure if I understand your question but tags were a fundamentally different feature than "featured workspaces" in FireCloud. I don't think it needs to be any more than simply a sticky note on workspaces, as it is currently and like gmail does for example.

Workspace tags have now be added back! You should be able to tag workspaces from the Dashboard tab of each workspace on the right hand side under the Workspace Information section. I believe that previously used Tags from FireCloud should carry over as well.
