Getting access to old terra workspaces to clean them up

I have admin rights for a google billing account which is used for multiple terra workspaces. However, I can see associated with that billing account there are google projects named "terra-..." which are associated with terra workspaces.

Some of these terra workspaces I can see, and some I cannot. I suspect the ones that I cannot see were created by team members who have long since left the team.

I'd like to clean these up, but I'm unclear how to proceed since all I have is opaque project IDs.

Is there a way to get access to these, given I control the billing account?

Thanks,

Phil

    Hi Phil,

Thanks for writing in! While the Google Billing Account gives you access to view billing for the Google Projects of Terra Workspaces, but it doesn't provide access to those Projects or Workspaces.  To gain access, you need to be an owner of the Terra Billing Project.  This will let you access Workspaces and Projects from within Terra.

If you are already an owner of the Terra Billing Project, you can go to this page https://app.terra.bio/#billing and select the project.  This will allow you to go to any workspace that is connected to the Terra Billing Project. You can also expand the workspace's record on the Billing page to see it's Google Project ID.

If you have a lot of workspaces for the Terra Billing Project, my suggestion would be to go to The Workspaces page (https://app.terra.bio/#workspaces) and search for the Google Project ID.  As long as you are the owner of the Terra Billing Project, then the workspace should appear.

If you are not an owner of the Terra Billing Project for your Google Billing Account, then I would suggest reaching out to the owners and seeing if they can provide access.

Please let me know if that information was helpful or if you have any questions.

    Best,

    Josh
