Summary

Our NIH account data access lists were not automatically updated which may have resulted in some users not getting access to the NIH datasets they should have.

Timeline

July 19, 2022 4:00 PM ET - Issue remediation & investigation - We have performed a manual sync of the allowlists and they are now current. We are actively investigating why the automatic syncing stopped on July 13.

July 19, 2022 3:30 PM ET - Issue discovery - One of our engineers noticed that the allowlists had not been updated since July 13 during a manual review. 

July 13, 2022 9:00 AM ET - Sync stopped - Our NIH data access allowlists stopped syncing with the NIH's allowlists.

Impact

Users may have not had access to the NIH datasets they should have between July 13-19.
