Timeline
March 16, 2022 12:16 PM ET - Issue resolution - The originally affected user reports being able to successfully access their data. We believe this issue is now fully resolved.
March 16, 2022 12:16 PM ET - Issue remediation - Our engineers have applied a remediation and are monitoring to confirm that access is being given as expected.
March 16, 2022 11 AM ET - Issue recognized - An engineer was able to trace the underlying cause of this issue to our NIH-provided allowlists not updating properly. These allowlists define who should be added or removed from authorization domains for protected data. Root cause investigation is currently underway.
March 11, 2022 12 PM ET - Problem reported - A user wrote in because they were removed from an authorization domain and re-linking their NIH account didn't re-add them. An engineer began to investigate.
Impact
Users may not be able to get access to data via their NIH Account link found on the Profile page until the issue is resolved.
