Summary

We have identified an issue with billing account updates in Terra. When updating the Google billing account funding your Terra billing project, you may notice that it gets stuck in "Updating" status.

Timeline

October 14, 2021 6:00 PM ET Issue remediated - Our engineers have applied a fix to remediate the issue for billing projects currently in error. A long-term fix will be applied early next week during the normal Terra release window.

October 14, 2021 3:58 PM ET Issue escalated - Our engineers have identified this as a service incident and are currently working on a fix.

October 14, 2021 2:47 PM ET Second instance - While investigating, our engineers discovered another user running into the same issue.

October 13, 2021 9:31 AM Issue discovered - Frontline support was made aware of a Terra user who was having issues updating their billing account. We found that while the billing account associated with the project was updated, the workspaces under that project were still associated with the old billing account.

Impact

Users who need to update the Google billing account currently funding their Terra billing project are impacted. If possible, please do not update the Google billing account for your Terra billing project until the fix is in place.
