Several scientific tools that were developed outside of Terra can be used to analyze data on Terra. Learn where to find more information about these tools.
Tools that are integrated with Terra
The following tools are actively supported in Terra:
- Hail. Hail is an open-source framework for scalable genomics analyses. Learn more about Hail on the Hail website and by checking out the Hail Notebook Tutorial on Terra.
- Docker. Docker images are one kind of virtual container used to run workflows and interactive analyses in Terra. Learn more about Docker on the Docker Docs, by reading the articles in Working with Containers (Docker), and by reviewing Chapter 5 of our free online course on Writing WDL Workflows in Terra.
- Seqr. Seqr is a web interface for analyzing next-generation sequencing data. Learn more about Seqr on the Seqr website and by reading Launching seqr through Terra.
Tools that may be compatible with Terra analyses
The following tools are relevant to many genomics analyses. They are not actively supported in Terra but may be compatible with workflow or interactive analyses:
- Scalpel. Scalpel is a package for identifying insertions and deletions (INDELs) in next-generation sequencing data. Learn more about Scalpel on the Scalpel website.
