Service Incident - February 15, 2023 (Hail Cloud Environments)

Summary

We've identified an issue that impacts users of the Hail environment for our Cloud Environment feature. When trying to create a new Hail environment, the following error message will be displayed:

Failed to create cluster 77500 due to io.grpc.StatusRuntimeException: INVALID_ARGUMENT: Dataproc custom image 'custom-leo-image-dataproc-2-0-51-debian10-a46b242' has expired. Please rebuild this custom image. To extend the custom image expiration date to '2023-04-15T21:10:00.446999Z', please use this cluster property during cluster creation: 'dataproc:dataproc.custom.image.expiration.token=1.custom-leo-image-dataproc-2-0-51-debian10-a46b242.broad-dsp-gcr-

This prevents the creation of the environment.

February 15, 2023 9:37 AM - Issue Escalated - The issue has been escalated to our engineering teams, who are currently working on a fix.

Impact

This issue currently affects users trying to start a new Hail environment.
