    Hi Hannah,

Thanks again for writing in! I have a few follow up questions that will help me investigate this issue:

    • What's the Google Project ID for workspace, found on the right side of the workspace dashboard under Cloud Information
    • Are there already any Cloud Environments or Persistent Disks running for this workspace.  You can find that information here: https://app.terra.bio/#clusters
    • Can you please provide a screenshot of your cloud environment configuration?
    • Which interface are you using (NOTEBOOKS or ANALYSES)?
    • Have you been able to run Cloud Environments in this workspace before?
    • What's the approximate time issue first occurred?

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Best,

    Josh

    Hi Josh,

The google project id is bicklab-aps under the bicklab-tcr-quan workspace

I don't think there are any cloud environments now. There was one but It does not appear to be there anymore. There should be a persistent disk.

This is the environment I am trying to start

    I am using Notebooks/the terminal

Yes I have and I was running one earlier today.

I noticed the issue around 1 pm central time.

Please let me know if you need more information.

    Best,

    Hannah

    Hi Hannah,

Thanks for the information! I tested the configurations you're using that those look good. I also took a look at your Google Project and that looks good so far.  Are you seeing this problem in other workspaces? Also, when you do try to create the Cloud Environment, do you see the below icon in the upper right or does it show nothing?

Can we have a screenshot of your Cloud Environments page? You can find that at this link: https://app.terra.bio/#clusters On that page, If there is a Persistent Disk for this workspace, could you click the view link and provide the name of the Persistent Disk? If there's an already running Cloud Environment, could you click the view link and provide it's name as well?

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Best,

    Josh

    Hi Josh,

I think I figured out what happened. I linked a new google account to my school outlook account. For some reason that changed my profile email. I am unable to just sign in with my original account.

    Hi Hannah,

Thanks for the update! I have some follow up questions and troubleshooting steps you can try.

    • What is the error you're seeing when you try to login using your original account?
    • Are you currently using Chrome to access the application?
    • If so, which accounts, if any, do you have signed into the browser? If your new account is logged in, try logging it out from the browser and signing into the application with our original account?
    • Can you try opening an Incognito window and logging into the application with your original account?
    • What is the email address for your original account and is it still active?

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Best,

    Josh

    Hi Josh,

There aren't any errors with logging in. I just cannot create a cloud environment and I cannot run any workflows. I am using Chrome to access the application. Every time I try to log in with my original email it just automatically logs me in with the linked gmail account. Testing with an incognito window does not work. My original email was hannah.m.poisner@vanderbilt.edu and the linked gmail account is hpoisner.vanderbilt@gmail.com

    Thanks,

    Hannah

    Hi Hannah,

Thanks for the information! It sounds like the two linked accounts are causing a Known Issue with using accounts that have an alias.  My suggestion would be to unlink the accounts if you can, and if you need to use a Google Account with a non-google email, please follow this guide.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Best,

    Josh

    Hi Josh,

I was unable to unlink the accounts so I just created a new account using my personal gmail for now. Is there any way to give me access to the private workflows I wrote and uploaded to the Broad Methods repository?

    Best,

    Hannah

    Hi Hannah,

Thanks for getting back to us! While we're unable to move private workflows within the system, there are some workarounds that you can use to regain access to those workflows.

If your old login can still access the Terra, you should be able to share those workflows on the Broad Methods Repository with your new login.  This should allow you to copy or edit them.

If that doesn't work, you should be able to find the WDL used for the workflow by going to a workspace that used that workflow and selecting Job History. Then click on a job that used the workflow, and click on the Workspace Dashboard.

From here you should be able to expand the Submitted Workflow Script, and copy and paste the WDL into a new Method in the Broad Methods Repository.

Please let me know if those workarounds work for you, or if you have any questions.

    Best,

    Josh
