Allow users to permanently acknowledge a banner and make it go away Completed

Banners can be disruptive to work with, as they pop up every time the site is refreshed. Allowing users to permanently acknowledge a banner would make for a better user experience.

    I'm happy to report that Terra now allows you to permanently acknowledge a banner! Simply click "Dismiss" on any banner to make it go away. :)

    Here's a workaround.

    Install an extension for your web browser like Stylebot for Google Chrome.

    Then add this to the app.terra.bio page to permanently hide notification pop-ups:

    .notification-parent {
    display:none;
    }

    This would be very nice to have as a feature. I am a bit hesitant to permanently hide pop-ups though, in case there are some that are relevant. But for other websites...  :) Thank you Kamil Slowikowski

    Is there any update on this? I didn't use Kamil's suggestion originally but I just enabled it.

    Hi Brendan,

    No update as of yet, but I've been seeing the interest bubble up again. I'm going to let the product manager know about the recent check-ins for progress on this and I'll let you know if I hear anything back.

    Kind regards,

    Jason

    Not sure if this is the right place to bring this up, but I'm seeing a "Working with Docker" pop-up every single time I click anything in the notebooks section of a workspace. Is there a way to make it stop? Thanks!

    Hi lck,

    We've created a separate request regarding the "Working with Docker" pop-up for our Product team to look into. Thanks for bringing this up.

    Best,

    Samantha

    It appears that whenever I click on a notebook within a workspace, I get an error message which says "Working with Docker". Can you please let me know if this is the right place to bring it up? I'm wondering if you could tell me how to get rid of it if I can. It appears every time I click on something in the notebooks section of the workspace.
