Possible error in AMP PD data explorer? Completed

Hi,

I was exploring the AMP PD dataset in Terra, and noticed that among the 1402 subjects with RNAseq data at the baseline, more healthy controls have known PD mutation (see the bottom right plot in the screenshot, 344/583 = 59%), comparing to the PD cases (334/819=42%). This seems contradict to the common sense, where one would assume more % of PD cases have known PD mutation than that of controls.

Please make sure it's implemented correctly.

Thanks,

-Xianjun

    Hi Xianjun,

I've heard back from one of the members of the group that manages the AMP PD data explorer, and he believes this may be reporting correctly.

"A big chunk of recruiting of participants to various studies is to recruit healthy controls with known PD mutations."

So it may be the case that this data is not in error.

    Kind regards,

    Jason

    Hi Xianjun,

Thank you for reporting this. I will flag this up with the very same team I mentioned earlier and write back with their findings.

    Kind regards,

    Jason
