Issue copying Jupyter notebook to new workspace Answered
I am trying to copy a jupyter notebook to a different workspace that I have owner access to. However, when I search for that workspace after selecting "copy to new workspace" it does not appear.
Can you see the destination workspace from your Workspaces list?
I can see it from my workspaces list!
Intersting! What are you permissions on the workspace where the notebook lives?
I am trying to determine if you need to be an Owner of both workspaces, source and destination or just of the destination etc.
If you are able to, can you share the workspace with GROUP_FireCloud-Support@firecloud.org as a Writer (you can remove this permission once we have resolved the issue)?
I'm a writer to the workspace where the notebook lives. The difference between the workspaces I can copy the notebook to vs the ones I can't is which authorization domains the workspace has. I want to add an authorization domain to the workspace I'm copying it to but can't see how to do this in Terra.
Thanks in advance!
If you want to add an Authorization Domain, you can only do this at the time of workspace creation. If you workspace already exists, then you cannot add an Authorization Domain after the fact. If a workspace already has an Auth Domain, you can add new users to the Auth domain group.
You will need to be a member of any Auth Domain that exists on either one of the workspaces. To add users to an Auth Domain, you can go to "Groups" listed under the Profile section from the hamburger menu. If you are not an Owner of the Auth Domain you will have to ask the Owner to add you to the group.
Thank you for your help! I didn't know that you could only add authorization domains at the time of workspace creation. Feel free to close this request!
