Notebook Terminal Timeout when switching browser tabs Completed

When working in the notebook terminal i get timed out if I switch to a different browser tab for more than a minute or two. This gets frustrating when I'm reading up on something and come back to the terminal that needs to be refreshed. Stop the timeout please.

Have been running into this problem as well.

Having a shell environment is extremely helpful for working on the platform.

Have been using JupyterLab for terminals in the meantime.

    Hi Matt-

Terminal hanging has been previously reported to the Leo team but I am going to add the extra information that the terminal hangs when switching tabs and not just after inactivity. There is an Issue open currently and looks like the work is in progress.

I cannot seem to do more than one command at a time without the terminal freezing.

Terminal lifetime seems to be two minutes exactly.  You can start a new terminal and state is retained but it is very tedious to do this.

    Hi Vincent,

We are aware of this timeout issue on the terminal and have investigated the problem. It seems to be a problem with Jupyter Notebooks itself and we are currently trying to communicate and work with Jupyter to stabilize the terminal timeouts.

I will be sure to update this thread with any new information.

    Hi Sushama,

I crossed the same issue trying to use the terminal even using Jupyter Notebook, and plus since yesterday I can't even open the terminal.

Do you have any updates about this issue?

    Thanks in advance,
