Trying to Follow Tutorial
Hello -
I attempted to follow the "Terra on Azure" tutorial this morning and was not met with much success. My attempt ended with a request that I log out and wait for an email, which I didn't receive. This is the tutorial I attempted to follow:
There were several other issues with the meager portion of the tutorial that I attempted to follow, including that the link to the terra log-in screen doesn't work and builds a non-existent sub-address of the support.terra.bio domain instead.

Upping this request. Josh Evans it looks like you responded to the other request in the Terra on Azure area.
Hi Sean Griffith,
Thank you for writing in with this issue. Thank you for your patience, we will take a look and get back to you as soon as we can!
Kind Regards,
Anika
Thank you, Anika!
Hi Sean Griffith
We will be allowlisting users in waves over the next few weeks to join the Terra on Azure public preview. If you filled out the form and signed up with a Microsoft account, but haven't received anything yet, it means you haven't yet been allowlisted yet.
Kind Regards,
Anika
Thank you for the update. I'm very keen on trying Terra on Azure, since my group had lots of issues with opaque billing and setup requirements on the Google end.
Will the documentation be amended to indicate that access is not an automatic action that results from signing in with a Microsoft account? There is currently no mention of allowlisting in the documentation, at least not in the documentation that is linked prominently at the top of https://support.terra.bio/ and that states after step four "Once you do, you're registered!"
Is there any way to accelerate allowlisting for my account? I set aside time to explore Terra on Azure this week, and would like to be able to proceed. I would have requested access when I first found out about Terra on Azure had I known that account creation does not immediately grant access.
Ah, I see now. Allowlisting was added to the overview, but isn't clear on the setting up/logging in page. Sorry for the confusion. Looking forward to giving it a try.
Hi Sean,
Thank you for letting us know about the confusion here! We will definitely update the form to be clearer about how access is not an automatic action.
Can you share the email address you used to register your interest? I checked the list of interested users and I wasn't able to find your information. I think the confusion may come from these instructions being designed for setting up your account once you've been allowlisted. If you haven't yet filled out the form for your interest, please do so!
You can fill out the interest form by navigating to https://app.terra.bio and logging in with your Microsoft account. This will automatically take you to the interest form.
If you run into any trouble, please let us know!
Kind regards,
Jason
Thanks, Jason. I thought I had filled out the form, but perhaps it was just the profile creation. My Microsoft account is sgriff21 'at' jh.edu When I try to fill out the form now I'm not able to submit. In the capture below, I *think* I've filled out all of the fields, but the submit button is telling me that I'm missing one. Is there a field being validated, perhaps, that isn't visible in the form?
Hey Sean,
Thanks for this description and screenshot. Were the First and Last name fields autofilled? If so, does the form allow you to submit if you manually type them?
Kind regards,
Jason
When I tried to reproduce the greyed out submit button after logging in with my MS account, I got no form and this message, which makes me think that at some point, my information _was_ recorded.
The same thing happened when I followed this link from the overview page without logging out:
https://app.terra.bio/#azure-preview
When I do sign out using the button as in the picture in the previous comment, I get the form, which I filled out without any autofills. I still got a greyed out submit button.
Hey Sean,
I was able to find your request! I didn't realize that the list had a filter that was hiding your information - my apologies. This could explain why the submit button was grey—we may have detected your address as one that has already submitted the form.
You are all set as far as your interest is concerned. I will flag up your interest in joining the preview as soon as possible, but I cannot make promises about when exactly you will be granted access. If you have any drivers for needing access earlier, please let us know.
Kind regards,
Jason
