We are currently investigating issues related to Galaxy environments where VMs are not being paused in GCP when Galaxy instances are paused in Terra, and clusters not deleting when Galaxy instances are deleted in Terra.
May 3, 2022 5:14 PM ET - Issue downgraded - After further investigation with our engineers, we've confirmed that Galaxy pausing and deleting is working as expected, but we are looking into improving the cost estimates displayed in the UI for accuracy.
May 3, 2022 1:13 PM ET - Issue escalated - After deleting the Galaxy environment in Terra, we saw that VM was still in 'Running' status on the GCP side, leading us to escalate this to our engineers for further investigation.
May 2, 2022 3:30 PM ET - Issue investigation - Terra Support was able to replicate behavior that the user reported and confirm that a paused Galaxy environment in Terra is still 'Running' on the GCP side.
April 27, 2022 3:44 PM ET - Issue reported - A user noticed charges in their project's spend report related to a Galaxy environment that they had PAUSED in Terra.
Galaxy environments that are paused/deleted in Terra may not be paused/deleted in GCP.
