Service Incident - August 18, 2021 (TCGA)

Summary

A user of Terra experienced issues accessing workspaces protected by the TCGA authorization domain. The user noticed this issue after they renewed their link to the CRDC Framework. A member of the Terra Support team was able to replicate the issue.

Users with valid TCGA permissions may experience the following error when attempting to visit a workspace protected by the TCGA-dbGaP-Authorized authorization domain:

Timeline

August 18, 2021 03:25 PM ET - Remediated - TCGA permissions have been restored.

August 18, 2021 09:30 AM ET - Issue discovered - A user with active NIH + CRDC links wrote in that they had lost access to their TCGA-dbGaP-Authorized protected workspaces. A member of the support team replicated the issue. Engineering is now investigating the underlying cause.

Impact

Users may be unable to access workspaces protected by the TCGA-dbGaP-Authorized authorization domain until the issue is resolved.
