The following release notes correspond to the dates August 3, 2019 to August 9, 2019. In addition to the items below, this release includes back-end updates to Google Integrations and workflows to improve upcoming features and several small fixes and enhancements to improve Galaxy user experience.

Interactive Analysis

  • Fixed a bug causing performance issues when using very large (500+ node) Dataproc clusters.
  • Fixed a bug in solid-state disk (SSD) creation. SSDs can now be created through Leonardo's disk and runtime creation APIs.
  • Added GATK and Bioconductor legacy images (the version before a major or minor version bump) to the dropdown menu.
  • At Galaxy app creation time, users can use the AnVIL Terra UI to specify how many nodes (virtual machines) they would like to allocate for Galaxy jobs to run on, and how many CPUs and how much memory each node should have. Note that these settings cannot be modified once the app creation request is submitted, but users can delete their existing app and create a new one with different settings if they would like.
