DUOS
Background on current DUOS work
A number of updates aim to address critical access management challenges for DUOS datasets by providing users and administrators with tools to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient dataset access. The focus is on solving four key access-related problems.
- Access Renewal: Simplify and automate the process of renewing user permissions to maintain uninterrupted, compliant access to DUOS datasets.
- Access Visibility: Provide a clear summary of how DUOS datasets are being used, offering transparency and insights to ensure access is aligned with intended purposes.
- Collaborator Updates: Streamline the process of updating collaborators who are assisting in research
- Access Revocation: Enable swift and secure removal of dataset access when permissions expire or circumstances change, ensuring adherence to governance policies and data security standards.
Recent updates (release notes)
- DUOS users will now be delivered directly to the Data Library on login to duos.org instead of their profile page (less confusion! less clicking!)
- For compliance, API Users will now be required to authenticate using eRA prior to submitting Data Access Requests for consideration to a DAC.
- To help streamline access renewal and visibility, the researcher's DAR table now shows the latest DAR in the DAR Collection.
Interactive analysis (Jupyter)
- All Terra Jupyter images have been updated to new versions that use Ubuntu 22 as a base.
