The following release notes correspond to April 21, 2021 - April 26, 2021. In addition to the items below, this release includes back-end updates to User Interface and Google Integrations to improve upcoming features.

Interactive analysis (Notebooks, RStudio, Galaxy)

  • We've improved performance of launching Galaxy at high concurrency levels by reducing the max concurrency for the helm client.
  • In order to save cost for Terra interactive analysis in basic use cases, the default CPU and memory selections for GCE and Dataproc cloud environments will now be the lowest that those services can run on "n1" family of Google Cloud machines. On GCE-based cloud environments, this reduces compute cost from $0.20/hr to $0.06/hr
