The following release notes correspond to the dates February 20, 2019 to February 27, 2019.
1. An update in the Terra UI to how a user chooses the Entity Type and Data they want to run with a Tool from the Tools tab.
Selecting Entity Type:
The image below shows a side-by-side comparison of what the UI change represents and what it looks like in Terra (Left) and FireCloud (Right). The option to change the `Entity Type for input/output` in Terra is now a drop-down menu, replacing the check-box form that was used in FireCloud.
In the left panel of the image above, the Terra user has chosen the `Participant` Entity Type for the Tool in question. In the right panel, the FireCloud user has chosen the `sample` Entity Type.
Selecting Data:
Once the user chooses an Entity Type, they may select specific Data for analysis. In Terra, this is done by choosing the Entity Type and clicking on `Select Data` which will bring up a pop-up window with the option to choose a set of data for analysis. In FireCloud, the choice of data was made after clicking `Launch Analysis` which brings up a pop-up window where the user chooses the data they are interested in analyzing.
The image above shows how users can select a particular data sample (NA12878 in this case) in either Terra (left) or FireCloud (right).
Running Analysis:
In both interfaces (Terra or FC), you can launch your analysis by hitting the `Launch` button.
Once you choose your data in Terra (Left) and press `OK`, you will be redirected back to the Tool page where you can click `Run Analysis` prompting a final confirmation pop-up with a `Launch` option. In FireCloud (Right), the `Launch` button is present in the same window where you select data. This will not prompt a secondary confirmation window.
2. The Terra UI now contains an option to view a static list of all billing-projects associated with the user account. We will continue developing this functionality over the next few weeks.
3. The Terra UI has been upgraded with some stylistic updates to make visibility easier.
