The following release notes correspond to the dates February 15 to 21, 2025.

This release also includes back-end updates to workflows, interactive analysis (Notebooks, Galaxy, RStudio), user interface, Data Repository, and Google integrations to improve upcoming features.

Interactive analysis

• Users will no longer be able to access deleted runtimes or disks via the leonardo swagger endpoints. This is a security improvements as we are moving authentication checks from Leonardo (the terra notebook service) to sam (the terra authentication service).

DUOS

• DUOS has migrated from an old deprecated framework called Create React App to Vite. You won't see any changes except the website is snappier!

Workflows

• We renamed the workspace "Job History" tab to "Submission History" to make our submission and workflow terminology consistent across Terra.
  
  
• We have added back /job_history paths that resolve to /submission_history to enable consistency for existing bookmarks.

Workspaces

• We removed NORTHAMERICA-NORTHEAST1 (Montreal) as a selectable region for GCP workspaces. Terra's recommended GCP region is us-central1. It is still possible to create workspaces in other regions via the API for users that require it. See Customizing where your data is stored and analyzed for more details and step-by-step instructions.
• We resolved an issue where the Estimated Storage Cost on the workspace dashboard was not including savings from Autoclass moving files to colder storage. The Estimated Storage Cost will now correctly reflect pricing based on us-central1 list prices for each storage class managed by Autoclass.

Controlled data

• To improve clarity and usability we added tooltips to External Providers to give clearer guidance on which providers to link with.
  
• Terra PFB imports now support DRS URIs as a possible input parameter.
