On July 12, 2024, the Broad Institute's Data Sciences Platform and Dockstore presented a 4-hour long workshop on creating and running cloud-native pipelines (often called "workflows") in WDL, Dockstore, and Terra. The workshop was part of the Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology conference in Montreal. Participants got hands-on practice working with the building blocks of cloud-based pipelines: using Dockers to control their pipelines' virtual environments, writing their pipelines in the Workflow Description Language (WDL), and finding and hosting workflows in Dockstore.
