This release note corresponds to the dates July 3, 2024 to July 12, 2024. This release includes back-end updates to workflows, interactive analysis (Notebooks, Galaxy, RStudio), user interface, Data Repository, and Google and Azure integrations to improve upcoming features.

Cloud Integrations

When using Terra on GCP, workflow VM resource monitoring is now generally available to all users. It is configurable on the workflow launch page alongside other workflow options.

Data Repo

Previously, it was possible for an error to cause the Azure ingest to get caught in a bad state where the Parquet files created in a flight would not be removed on rollback. For these failed flights it was possible for the records to be present when retrieving dataset data. The code now properly cleans up those Parquet files if the step needs to be undone due to an error
