Learn how to find costs related to running workflows in Terra on Azure.
Overview: Costs in Terra on Azure
Cloud costs passed through a Terra Billing project include infrastructure costs you pay for setting up the Terra environment you will be using, and working costs, which are cloud resources you use for data storage, egress and VM time for any type of analysis including running workflows.
See Overview: Costs and billing (Azure) for a description of all the cloud cost categories passed through via a Terra billing project.
Workflow tasks VM costs
Navigate to the workflow details page to see a list of workflows and nested tasks within the main workflow.
The VM costs to run each task is in the right-most column in the table (highlighted in screenshot above).
You can also see the overall VM costs for the root workflow at the top of the page (highlighted in screenshot above).
How are workflow costs calculated?
The displayed costs are calculated using the standard Azure VM list price (not including discounts) and start and end time of each task.
