This release note corresponds to the dates June 14, 2024 to June 21, 2024. This release includes back-end updates to workflows, interactive analysis (Notebooks, Galaxy, RStudio), user interface, Data Repository, and Google and Azure integrations to improve upcoming features.

User Interface

  • You can now remove workflows from the "Workflows in this workspace" list. Submission history will be preserved, even when their associated workflows are removed.
  • For workflows, many variable names can be similar to one another, with the only difference between two variables is the last word. For example: mills_resource_vcf and mills_resource_vcf_index. If a variable name is too long for the cell, it will get cut off. We've modified the struct builder for the workflows configuration so that these names wrap to a new line.

  • The Workflow Details page on Terra on Azure will now show the cost of each task, and estimated total workflow cost.

Cloud Integrations

  • GCP Workspace Owners and Workspace Writers with can_compute can now access and create Monitoring Dashboards in the GCP Cloud Console. These dashboards allow usage monitoring of interactive and batch VMs for performance and debugging purposes. Click here for more information.

  • GCP Workspace Owners and Writers can now restore files that were deleted from workspace buckets, up to a maximum of 7 days. Click here for more information.
