We've identified an issue that impacts users of Terra on Azure. Creation of VMs in Terra on Azure workspaces is failing.

June 18, 2024 11:30 AM ET - Issue Remediated - Our engineers have released a fix for this issue. Users should now be able to create VMs in Terra on Azure.

June 17, 2024 2:30 PM ET - Issue Discovered - Our engineers discovered that VMs were failing to create in Terra on Azure workspaces.


Users of Terra on Azure will see an error when attempting to create VMs in their workspace.

msg: Wsm createVm job failed due to Long running operation is Failed or Cancelled.: VM has reported a failure when processing extension 'vm-custom-script-extension' (publisher 'Microsoft.Azure.Extensions' and type 'CustomScript'). Error message: 'Enable failed: failed to execute command: command terminated with exit status=100

Removed /etc/systemd/system/
lsblk: /dev/sdc1: not a block device

Terra on GCP workspaces are unaffected.
