Service Incident - March 19, 2024 (Terra UI)

Summary

We've identified an issue that impacts users of the Terra. Users may have been unable to accept terms of service (TOS) in the Terra UI. When users navigated to the TOS, they may have seen an endless spinner and no button to accept the agreement. The issue has since been remediated.


This was happening to users that had not logged into Terra for several months.

 

As a workaround, users were able to accept the TOS via this Swagger API: https://sam.dsde-prod.broadinstitute.org/#/TermsOfService/userTermsOfServiceAcceptSelf

March 19, 2024 02:38 PM - Issue Remediated - Fix was found, tested, and sent to prod.

March 19, 2024 01:30 PM - Issue Escalated - Issue was escalated and a bug ticket was created.

March 19, 2024 09:00 AM - Issue Discovered - Users started writing in about inability to accept new terms of service.

Impact

When Terra users navigate to the new TOS, they may see an endless spinner and no button to accept the agreement. The issue has been remediated.
