This release note corresponds to the dates August 25, 2023 to August 31, 2023. This release includes back-end updates to workflows, interactive analysis (Notebooks, Galaxy, RStudio), user interface, Data Repository, and Google and Azure integrations to improve upcoming features.

Data Repo

In response to Azure's early deprecation of individual retention policies for metrics and logs, log retention will default to the top-level 90 day retention policy of the log analytics workspace when creating Azure datasets and snapshots. For more information, see this article.

Azure

We've added an attribute called "policies" to the JSON response for Workspace details. This value of "policies" will be an empty array for GCP workspaces, but may contain policy information for Azure workspaces. The shape of the policies value is described in the Rawls Swagger, https://rawls.dsde-prod.broadinstitute.org/#/workspaces/getWorkspaceById.
